In my 2 months being an Product Design Intern at Goldbug my main duty was to design a compact diaper bag,
Research/Benchmarketing
During the first 2 weeks I conducted a market analysis of existing diaper bags, evaluating key features and attributes across different pricing tiers to identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities.
I did the same for baby carriers making spreadsheets for the characteristics in the market to see if it made sense for Goldbug to get back in the market.
Tier based concepting
I began brainstorming ideas after researching the market to understand what sets certain bags apart from others, focusing on factors like cost comparisons, features such as wipe pouches, material quality, and the number of insulated compartments for bottles.
Concepting
I spent the remainder of my time further fleshing out concepts to make them more industry practical and marketable.
